International applicants who are admitted to the Master’s programme can ask for advice on accommodation from the programme coordinator and the international affairs unit of the faculty. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that all students will be allotted a room, as demand exceeds supply. We can only provide advice and information.

RWTH Aachen University offers a limited number of dormitory rooms and studio apartments. However, demand is high, and there are usually waiting lists, so students should expect to arrange private accommodation initially. A range of private housing options is available in and around Aachen. The International Office can provide guidance and information on accommodation options both before arrival and after students have reached Aachen. Rooms are usually available at prices ranging from 350 EUR to 550 EUR, with higher prices typically applying to more apartment-like options. In student dormitories, the rent generally includes utilities such as heating, water, electricity, and internet access. Information about accommodation is sent to admitted applicants well in advance of their arrival in Germany.
